Fun Summer Games You’ve Never Heard Of

Are you looking for a new, unique game for the kids to play outside? We have you covered! Check out these fun lawn games that will likely become a yearly tradition!

Disc slam

Looking for a fun alternative to disc throwing? This Disc Slam game is the perfect activity for kids and adults. Divide up into two teams of two people each. Each team stands right next to their target. When a player from the other team tosses their disc to try to hit your target, you or your teammate has to try and deflect it. For kids, set the targets up closer together. If adults are playing, set them further apart to make it more challenging.

Slimeball slinger

The Slimeball Slinger will keep kids busy for hours at a time. What child doesn’t enjoy shooting slime balls at each other? Best of all, these balls aren’t really made from slime, so you won’t have a mess to clean up. One player gets to sling the balls to another who then tries to grab them in mid-air. The contraption can shoot the balls up to an amazing 30 feet, so be sure your kids have plenty of room in the yard for this game!

Hook and ring toss

Have you ever played a game in a club or bar known as “Ringing the Bull?” Well, Hook and Ring Toss is the same concept! This is a fun game that doesn’t require your kids, or adults, to exert themselves too much. It’s perfect for a hot day! The object of the game is to swing the ring that is attached to a string in order to land it right on the hook. It’s a great game to play when you just want to relax with a drink outside- kids and adults alike!

Thunder bubble

The Thunder Bubble game is one that anyone will enjoy regardless of age. In fact, you might have to fight off the kids to play it! You’ll get two bubbles that have padded shoulder pads and handles. You wear the bubbles around your body to protect yourself, and then the fun begins! Most kids have a blast running into one another to knock the other down, but you can use the bubbles for other games, too.

Snap ball game

If you want a game where your kids can’t miss the ball, look for the Snap Ball catch game. Each player holds the ends of a string that has a ball threaded through it. As the ball rolls to the other player, that player snaps it back. The object is to see who is able to roll the ball faster. It’s a great game to keep little ones occupied during long, hot days.

Jumbo pick up sticks

Who wouldn’t want to play that old game of pick-up sticks? We do! That’s because these sticks now measure in at over 31-inches long. Simply dump them out over the lawn and let each player at them. The object is to pick up a stick without making any other one move. It’s a classic game that never gets old!
